Running an agency, a charitable side project, attending courses, and building new and exciting projects requires good time management skills. I have to know when to be available to clients, when to meet with my team, and when to set aside time to get in the zone and just code. Time management has been key to my success.
My coding skills are something I'm very proud of. I am a self-taught developer and have grown my skills through personal projects and through running my business. A few courses, such as the Univesity of Toronto's iOS Developer diploma, were a huge factor contributing to my success.
Developers get a little stigmatized for being anti-social, but having been part of such a helpful and welcoming dev community in Toronto, I know that's not the case. I am comfortable carrying out huge sales presentations, handling client interactions, and working in small or large teams. I am part of different sports organizations and I love meeting new people and connecting with others.
I was raised in Albania and moved to Canada when I was 10. I have been fortunate to have traveled to well over 20 countries. I carry my Canadian pride across the globe. My favourite spot? SCUBA diving in the ABCs!
Much to the chagrin of others, I love to build everything from scratch. I have built a duct tape canoe (it worked, until the sun melted it!), most of the furniture in our condo, and I'm eyeing telescope building next.
I love learning about the nature of our unnivers at its most fundemental. In my spare time I conduct experiments with high voltage electricity.
